Mount Boucherie Secondary

2017 Yearbook

Recognized by DesignRush, a leading trends and awards platform, for our design expertise and featured among The Best Book Designs in the Print category of their Best Design Awards!  Check it out here.

The theme for the 2017 Mount Boucherie Secondary School yearbook was "Dream On".

The Mission

This year, the team’s goals were to:

  1. Develop a book that reflected the theme of Dreams in a concrete as well as abstract way.
  2. Create more student engagement throughout the year and with the final product itself.
  3. Beat our previous year’s score with the Canadian Yearbook Review.
  4. Increase sales.

The Outcome

Throughout our research and design phase, we developed a visual plan to align with our theme: including starry night and aurora borealis photography and colour palette, visual effects and fonts to emanate the feeling of sleeping and dreaming. We also explored abstract and interactive ideas such as “dreams for the future” and dream journaling in order to engage our audience and make the book more personal for our student body.

We built a top-notch book and were awarded a 1st Place standing With Distinction from the Canadian Yearbook Review. The team was very proud.

The Impact

The student body and staff were able to enjoy the year’s events in photos and stories while also being engaged in learning and personal journaling.
